YOU CAN BUY HAPPINESS AT THE GOAT YARD

What is Agritourism?

Have you ever heard of agritourism? What exactly does it mean? Simply stated, agritourism is where the crossroads of agriculture and tourism meet to provide you with an amazing educational experience, whether it be a tour of a farm or ranch, a festival, or cheese-making class. Farmers, ranchers and wineries turn their land into a destination and open their doors to the public in order to teach more about what they do and their way of life. Additionally, agritourism provides educational opportunities to the public with hope to preserve agricultural lands.

Meet the Family

  • Bre

I'm Bre, 208 Goat Mom, Jason's Wife, The Goat Yard Owner. Bre is the crazy inspiration behind all things goats and can usually be found cuddling any of the animals, coffee in hand. She is our main event coordinator here at the farm and will guarantee you have the best experience ever.

  • Jason

Meet Jason. He is the one who makes everything work, makes sure everything is healthy and living the best life. He shares the same love for animals as Bre. Jason has a passion for agriculture education and loves to share his way of life with everyone. He is the expert here at the farm and loves to guide the tours when he can.

  • Max

    AKA Furry Murry the Scotty.

Furry Murry is a 2 year old Scottish Highlander that is used for breeding here at The Goat Yard. He is known to watch some goat yoga and hang out with his ladies in the shade.

  • Longhorn Cows

Mr. Bones and Riata are pure country beauties! They are Goat Yard decorations here at the farm and make for some great photo props.

  • The Ladies

We have 9 free range feathered ladies here at The Goat Yard. They love the country life and are an important part of the farm ecosystem. Farm fresh eggs are available daily here at the farm.

  • Hector The Protector

Hector is our most valuable caretaker of the goats. He knows everything that goes on the farm, he sees everything, and expects cookies daily. Farm tours are not complete unless hector gets a treat.
